Eileen practices corporate law and her focus has been on equity capital market matters, where she has acted as legal adviser and due diligence solicitor in initial public offerings and listing of corporations and real estate investment trusts (REITs) on Bursa Malaysia, as well as secondary offerings such as bonus issues, placements, rights issues and other corporate exercises involving listed companies and REITs. She is also experienced in private equity, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures and has advised clients from a wide spectrum of industries including construction, property development, manufacturing and software development. In the course of her practice, Eileen has also gained experience in debt capital markets, encompassing both Sukuk and bonds. Notable transactions include the Samurai Bond (guaranteed by Japan Bank for International Cooperation) for the amount of ¥200 billion issued by the Government of Malaysia where she was involved in the transaction documentation.
